Wat is therapietrouw?
o.a. definitie van therapietrouw (adherence), bewuste en onbewuste therapietrouw, belang van onderscheiden van fases in geneesmiddelgebruik (initiatie, implementatie, discontinuatie/persistentie)
Waarom is therapietrouw een relevant onderwerp?
o.a. slechtere gezondheidsuitkomsten (morbiditeit, mortaliteit, kwaliteit van leven), meer zorggebruik en dus ook hogere zorgkosten
Hoe groot is het probleem (in NL)?
Verschilt per aandoening, gemiddeld 50%. Voor diabetes specifiek lijkt de therapietrouw wat hoger te zijn
Welke factoren beïnvloeden therapietrouw?
Complex fenomeen. WHO onderscheidde in 2003 al 5 dimensies, een recente review identificeerde 771 determinanten.
Route naar betere therapietrouw: zorg op maat
Toegespitst op individuele patiënt. Veel interventies ontwikkeld, maar one size does not fit all
