The 8th edition of the International Symposium on the Diabetic Foot will take place in the Hague, The Netherlands, 22 – 25 May 2019.
Since 1991, it has been the largest and most influential scientific multidisciplinary meeting on lower extremity complications in persons with diabetes. Renowned experts will bring participants up to date with the latest developments and innovations. A broad selection of topics will addressed in state of the art lectures, mini-symposia and interactive workshops with useful information for daily clinical practice. Topics include new developments in sensor technology, prevention of foot ulcers, advances in peripheral vascular disease, pathology of impaired wound healing in diabetes and its implications for treatment, progress in infection, diabetic neuropathy, quality of life and the patient’s view. Moreover, the latest trials are presented as well as the new Guidance documents of the International Working Group of the Diabetic Foot. Â
